Susan Mogari first joined the network of gender activists in 2006 working for an organization called Itereleng: Institution of Cultural Affairs (SA) as a facilitator and trainer. She worked with youth in different communities in Soweto, Alexander and Kagiso on the West Rand. She also worked at the Institute of People Development as a facility coordinator. Susan did the community media literacy course with Gender Links as part of ICA (SA) empowering program. She trained in media monitoring with Gender Links which resulted in election monitoring of South Africa and Namibia during the Global Media Monitoring Study and the Gender and Media Progress study. Susan has studied engineering computer systems with Setlogelo Technikon which is now known as University of Technology Ga- Rankuwa campus.

Susan's passion in ending gender based violence inspired her to work for an organization such as Gender Links and she is pursuing her studies in Social Science with UNISA.
