Mpho Mankimane holds B.ED in Development Studies and Geography which she obtained from the National University of Lesotho in 2001. She then became a professional teacher for several years before joining Women and Law in Southern Africa (WLSA), the Lesotho chapter where she worked as Gender Programme Officer. For over two years, she was responsible for gender advocacy work, training and education, maintaining collaborative stakeholder networks as well as information generation. Research had been another key responsibility of Mpho. She was part of research teams during research undertakings as follows: Gender, HIV and AIDS and the Law in Lesotho and At the Coalface: Gender and Local Government in Lesotho.
