The publications database consists of physical and electronic resources in the area of gender and media diversity.
As the GMDC believes in knowledge creation and dissemination, the publications database offers an opportunity for this cycle of creation and communication to transpire. Knowledge creation takes place when various modes of knowledge converge to form a continual cycle triggered by such actions as dialogue, coordination, documentation, experimentation, and learning by doing. Knowledge creation can be viewed as an upward spiral process from the individual level to the collective group level, and then to the organizational level, sometimes to the interorganizational level.
That is exacltly what the GMDC and this database aims to achieve. This resource is a collection of contributions from various organizations and individuals across the region. In forming a community of knowledge, the GMDC hopes this will encourage further knowledge development in the region and beyond.
