The GMDC newsletter, Diversity Exchange, keeps our partners and friends up to date on the latest news from the GMDC as well as pressing issues on Gender, Media and Diversity. The work of the GMDC is both local and global and we try to highlight first-hand perspectives from the African Continent and beyond. We hope that you will use this platform as a tool to voice your own thoughts on media, gender and diversity issues as well as share your stories/events.

A few weeks ago there was a revolution in Tunisia. Some sources say the revolution was not televised, but rather twitterised. On 14 January, Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali dissolved his government, called for legislative elections in six months and promised not to run in 2014. [read more]

GMDC Diversity Exchange, Issue 11, October 2010

Gender Links has received more than 200 submissions for the Gender and Media Awards, October 13 - 15, 2010. These submissions, as well as input from the Summit, will feed into the GMDC's upcoming journal. [read more]

On December 10th, 2009 Gender Links hosted a day long event to kick off their campaign, "Score a Goal for Gender Equality". The day features presentations from panelists as well as working groups to look at the effects of Soccer 2010 on gender.This event featured a soccer match from two local women's soccer leagues.
