At the core of Gender Links work is training gender activists to disseminate and raise awareness of gender issues more effectively coupled with building capacity around the use of IT for gender justice. Through the organisation's collaboration with Gender and Media Southern Africa Network (GEMSA), GEMSA country chapters and other strategic partners, a series of workshops were undertaken in 2008 to move from action plans to communication strategies in countries that have adopted 365 Day Action Plans to End Gender Based Violence.
This ongoing training in Strategic Communications continues to be aimed at popularising the action plans based on public education, training and awareness.
