The Southern Africa Gender Protocol Alliance is a regional "network of networks" that championed the adoption of the SADC Protocol on Gender and Development (2008). With its slogan, Yes we can! the Alliance now focuses on advocacy and lobbying for the signing and ratification of the Protocol by member states of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) that have not done so, and implementation of the 28 targets to be attained by 2015.
