You could say Gugu Mbtaha likes washing cars – during the past 12 years she’s washed about 6000 cars, leaving them all gleaming clean. That’s how Gugu earns her living and she keeps the taxi owners happy at the Zola Taxi Rank in Soweto. Gugu (36) told the People’s Paper: “I could not afford to pay for college and money was very tight, so when my younger brother asked me to join him at a car wash, I did not hesitate.”
