The annual Rosa Luxemburg Political Education Seminars are opportunities for activists to debate contemporary political events, whilsts reflecting on Rosa Luxemburg's own legacy and relevance for understanding events. The 2007 Seminar at Community House in Cape Town drew on three issues which shape the current context in South Africa: concerns amongst activists about the consolidation of neo-liberalism and power in the presidency and the marginalisation of popular power; debates within the social movements and how a Left project may re-emerge in South Africa.
