Draft gender and policy action plan for the region's main advocacy and lobbying network on issues of media freedom.
At the request of the Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) GL facilitated a workshop to devise a gender policy and action plan for the region's main advocacy and lobbying network on issues of media freedom.

This led to the drafting of a gender policy and action plan by MISA, stating that gender equality should be explicitly recognised in all references to freedom of the media, community participation, diversity etc.

MISA also identified specific measures that it intends to undertake in mainstreaming gender in its five strategic areas of focus over the next five years.
