The attached report presents the findings of the Mauritius Gender and Media Audience Study (GMAS)
conducted by Gender Links (GL) in partnership with the Mauritius Media Watch (MWO) Organisation. It is the
first comprehensive study of audience news consumption patterns and preferences in Mauritius generally, as well
as the gender dimensions of these.

The findings are based on the responses of 90 women and 90 men, a total sample of 180 respondents, from
Port-Louis and Pamplemousses; the lower Plaines-Wilhems and the district of Moka and the districts of Grand-Port
and Savanne.
