The Southern African group yesterday presented a detailed resolution on Women, the Girl Child and HIV/Aids, which advocates strongly for putting women at the centre of prevention, treatment and care programmes.
Braving the cold to take on Bush
Women activists scuffled yesterday with UN security personnel and police officers from the New York Police Department when they demanded to get in out of the cold following a protest march against the US government’s attempt to derail the final document of the Beijing+10 review.
MDGs cause concern
The move to make the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) the omnibus for all development initiatives is creating apprehension and frustration at the ten year review of the Beijing conference.
