What FIFA calls the "Women's World Cup" will be held in Germany in 2011, but nobody seems to care - it's mostly
considered a competition of "tomboys" and "mannish lesbians" anyway, right? The "real" World Cup, the male World Cup, will of course take place in South Africa in 2010. It will surely involve "real" women, i.e. beauty queens, who will escort our heroes and "other" women, i.e sex workers, outside stadiums for keeping our heroes' fans busy. The 2010 World Cup will not in itself advance gender equality, but it does offer an amazing platform to raise the issue.
